 My Darling Hope has come such along ways since last May when she was on life support and Austin and I did know which way it might go at the IWK when she was air lifted. Hope was gradually taken off
life support and she was released from there on July 15 with oxygen. Hope has not had oxygen since last August. I must say to be a part of Hope's recovery and her life is truly a blessing. This is just a glimpse into Hope's life, she has been a fighter since the day she was born. With her Dada who is Awesome by her side Hope will go far.
In this time frame Hope has went from commando crawling, sitting up, now crawling, learning some basic sign language, now standing up and she is saying Hi now in such a soft way, Hope has been saying Dada for some time, she loves music and she can also give 5. The big news she has passed her swallow test.  Now we begin that phase slowly.
 Hope had her first appointment yesterday afternoon. Everything that they did with Hope she followed right along.
So they have given Austin permission to try some ice cream at home and swab her mouth with diluted Apple Juice. So I have have requested a coupon from Chapman's for Lactose Free ice cream. I looked for other brands today but they were not for Hope. So I told Austin that Chapman's made that kind and to beat all only the Super store carries it. Oh well, what Hope needs she will get.

As always Joyce, you know that Michael and I are rooting for Hope and Austin. She is such a remarkable like girl and nobody could ever ask for a better DaDa.
I told Austin the other day that the pix that he sent to me of Hope standing up is now the wallpaper for my puter. Every time that I hobble into the livingroom, I seen Hope's beautiful smile and determination to overcome all obstacles and succeed at everything that lays before her.
Hope is a true inspiration to all who have been blessed with knowing her.
