Are frequent headaches associated with Fibromyalgia?

Many people who have fibromyalgia experience headaches and facial pain, which may be related to tenderness or stiffness in their neck and shoulders. In addition, fibromyalgia may cause a contracting of the smooth muscles lining the veins and arteries, and interfere with proper blood flow, a process that may contribute to the development of migraines. Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, which affects the jaw joints and surrounding muscles, is also common in people with fibromyalgia.
