ccrew--isn't pharmacology fun? I remember those days in school. I have been a nurse for 29 years, currently working with special needs children, I found my niche. I have worked with just about everyone. Keep up the good work. I like the take home tests the best. I can at least fool some of the teachers into thinking I am smart. LOL

Evening Everyone!
Well, I had the best weekend that I have ever had in years. Mary (Nippercat) came out to our place for a visit on Saturday afternoon. Mary spent the night and it was fantastic.
Baby and Bear just fell inlove with Mary. They were all over her and Mary was the first person besides Michael and I who have been able to "rough" play with the Girl. Bear was just a big suck with Mary.
We all watched an old Mario Lanza movie. Even the kiddies were watching it - which I think surprised Mary a bit. Bear had his head on a pillow laying in front of the television enjoying the music.
Michael was our chef for the night and as usual, he had everyone in stitches with his antics.
I don't think that Mary and I hit the hay until well after 4:00 a.m. Michael crashed around 2:00 or so.
After Mary left, Bear was actually looking around the apartment for Mary. I think that she has made two new furry friends.  |

Good morning all
Lynne, sounds like quite a weekend for you. Lots of fun.
Mary- many hugs to you.
On a different note--I watched the Indy car race yesterday. I usually don't get to, but I don't like Indy cars very well. Well this one was ran at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. It was the Iowa Corn Indy 250. What made this one different was the winner Dan Wheldon and his teammate Scott Dixon donated their winnings of a total of $60,000 to the Iowa flood relief. I just wanted to say Hats off to these drivers!!
Hope everyones weekend went well and that the upcoming week brings joy and love. |

Hello everyone. Not to much happening today. Had a rain shower now it is sunny.
I must say the new bed is pretty compfy but poor Max can not jump that high so he has taken
to the livingroom to sleep with the kitten. Yesterday Ausin, Hope and I went to a benift that was held for our cousin Jimmy. It was a huge success. His daughter read a Thank you from him, which brought tears to the eyes. Wishing that he could be there. Jimmy has been having valves replaced every so often since he was a baby. But this time it was not the procedure he was expecting. It is strange how a great week can turn into a sad week and bring us back to reality, how precious life is. One life is lost and one is saved. My thoughts and prayers are with the family that lost a family member in Montreal and with Jimmy that his recovery wi g smoothly
He went down to Halifax to have a valve replacement done but his heart was to bad, he had to have a heart transplant. He is recovering quite welll. He will be in hospital for 3 months and then when he comes home he will have to go to Halifax every 2 days for awhile just so they can keep an eye on things.

| I'm enjoying my alone time. Mark has gone to ball and Kiana was invited to the circus by our neighbour so off she went. I sat outside with my neighbour for awhile than when i came in my cousin called to chat. Now i'm waiting for Mark to come home. It's cool out but the sun is shining now~it rained earlier today. |

You are most welcome Shirl. I plan on making you a special tag this week. You are so long overdue for one.
Well, I went to the Doctor's yesterday to hear the results from my tests that I had done last week.
I am now being scheduled to finally get into to see a kidney specialist. It is about time!
I also have to go and get an Echocardiogram.
He was actually nice to me yesterday. I'll tell you, when Dr. Fisher is nice, you know that something is wrong.
He is concerned about the level of triglycerides that are in my blood. The cholesterol is not that hot; but, it is the triglycerides that he is mostly concerned about.
I didn't get the full results from the lab work. I am just waiting for the nurse to get back into the office. Dr. Fisher doesn't like giving patients full results, so I usually get them from the nurse.
He also prescribed Lipidel Supra. I am still attempting to read his script. I believe that it reads 160 mg. once a day. I will know better later on today when I take the script in to be filled.
I will keep everyone updated. The way that I look it, this is just one more battle that I am facing in my life and I will beat this one too. As I told the nurse yesterday, I am too damn miserable to die and I need to stay around to make my kids' lives miserable.
My Bro called me last night. He had been thinking about me for about three weeks. He knew that something was wrong and was waiting for me to call him. Well, when I didn't call, he finally called me. 
We talked on the telephone for about two hours. Danny is not one for short conversations. After I broke the latest medical news to him and reassured him that I would beat this like everything else, he finally told me some really great news. My Bro has met a really nice lady. They have only been dating for two weeks. He sent me two pictures of her and from what I could see, she looks lovely. She also added me as a friend on facebook and she is quite delightful. She is educated, well bred, professional, loves animals and I know that we will become fast friends. I am so happy for my Bro. It is about time that he had some happiness in his life. 
I tried sleeping last night but I was in too much pain. After an hour of tossing and turning in bed, I got up and had a nice hot bubble bath. Then, I spent half of the night cleaning my puter out and do diagnostics. Hopefully, it will now work better. I ended up uploading 50 photographs to my photobucket that I had taken of a couple of storms over the past couple of weeks. My desktop is just about tidy now!

Kiana is off to watch her friends graduate. I feel bad for her because most of her close friends are going into grade 9 next year so she'll be alone at school. There are 2 other girls that she hangs out with sometimes~well most of the time~ but they can be little b*tches sometimes.
Mark and i went out to get the chips and pop for the party we are helping with on the weekend. One of the graduating girls is throwing an end of year party and Mark and i and another couple were asked to help out.
It was a beautiful sunny day today i actually turned on the a/c for a bit tonight.

hold of the Dr. Which I finally did. Got the appoinment for Aug.20 But if the headaches Clarence is having start to get worse, keep checking into see if there is a cancelation

Joyce-- Just have to keep bugging the Dr and letting them know just how serious this could be.

So I have some news I wanted to share.
I start my new job tonight!
In about an hour and a half actually.
I'm working with Mike, who got me the job, doing janitorial work at Zellers nearby. It's within walking distance so I can lose weight while I'm at it 
I get to do the "easy stuff" Mike and Troy (our boss) calls it. Bathrooms and offices. Not much different than what I do at home only 6 bathrooms instead of 1 and 4 offices instead of 1.
I'm rather excited.
I sat Dylan down and broke the news to him gently, he's always been dead set against me not being here for him, but you know, he took it like a man. I know it has to do with the fact that it's while he's sleeping and that I'll be with his father. Anywhere else with anyone else and he'd find an issue.
It also helped that his best friend was with him and the friend has gone through the same thing with his own mother rejoining the work force after being a SAHM for so long.
Happily, everything is A-OK and running on schedule. I'm a little over excited I think, it's just cleaning up after people after all, but it's the first out of the house real job I've had in a long time. Not that being a SAHM is a bad thing or that working from home is not a real job. I'm just excited to be out doing stuff again.
Woohoo! Yay me!
Later folks, I'm off to work!
