Good evening everyone. Just poping into to say Hi. I have not been very cheery since yesterday after talking with Austin. There has ben some problems with Hopes Mick-ey for awhile with ballons breaking, the stoma staying red and leakage. So my Darling Hope will be going to the IWK May 22 to have the permanent feeding tube put in for now. I will be happy when they get around to doing the swallow test and hopefull Hope passes.
Have a great evening.

Middle of the week already. It was another nice sunny day here. Went into town today and bought Hope a one piece romper pink in color and has flowers all over it. Hubby made homemade beans for supper. They were good for a change.
Have a good evening.

I am counting the days until May 28 because that's when my youngest daughter is flying back from her home in Florida, bringing her two little girls (4 yrs and 9 months) for a month-long visit!

Icon_sun Hi everyone. Sunny today, did a couple loads of laundry. Then hubby and I went to town and had lunch with my sister. It was nice to see her again, it had been 3yrs since we seen each other. It is sad in a way because we only live about 1hr apart from each other.
Have a great evening

Big Icon_th_hugs2 back to my Precious Hope from her Auntie Lynne.

Icon_th_hey-1
Well, we made it to the Emerg. It was decided that they were not going to do anything until my Specialist is back on the 20th. Nobody wants to poke around another Doctor's area. rolmao They did give me a nice supply of pain meds to hold me until my Specialist gets back. They did write a letter to my Specialist which will be faxed on Tuesday when the Doctor gets back from vacation. They think that I will be in Hospital by Wednesday or Thursday.

My Bro bought us dinner tonight. We had Swiss Chalet. It was a very nice treat. We had a really long heart to heart conversation. My Bro is quite concerned or should I say worried about me. I kept telling him not to worry - that I am a tough old bitty and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. We did discuss the serious stuff though - all the stuff that nobody wants to talk about but have to. I made my wishes quite clear to my Bro so that he will not be in disagreement with Michael - just in case. I did tell my Bro that I will probably outlive the two of them.

Bear became spooked tonight from the fireworks going off. Baby just slept through everything.

Well, I am going to say Good Night. It is Icon_th_beddybyesmiley time.

Sending a Icon_bighugs to everyone!

Icon_sun The sun isn't even shining here in Oshawa. It is so cold out there! Michael was just out on the balcony and he had to wear his winter coat. When he came in, his hands were like blocks of ice! Apparently, it is going rain again later on.

Bear had another bad night last night. Those fireworks just scare the daylights out of him. The fella was shaking so bad the other night that his teeth were chattering. crying Last night, Michael and I just put him between the two of us on the bed and held on to him, petting him, speaking softly to him and giving him oodles of luvins. With any luck, it will rain tonight and then nobody will be letting off any fireworks.

Thank you Shirley for the Hugs. They mean a lot to me.

Joyce's precious niece goes in Hospital this week. I would really appreciate it if everyone can send up some prayers for this darling little angel. There is link under Joyce's siggie where you can go and read about this precious child. Last year, at this time, Hope was in the hospital and it was really touch and go. We almost lost Hope and of course, Austin, Hope's DaDa, Joyce and all who know and love this Angel are praying that nothing happens this time when Hope goes in for her surgery.

Whenever I think of this courageous little girl, I stop and realize that my issues are not so bad after all.

Hugs, love and prayers to everyone.

Hi, the weather is really crappy here to today. Fortunately we don't have plans to do anything outside. We just need to go to my moms and pick up Kiana. Hope everyone is staying warm.

Well, it's the last day of the long weekend and I'm getting sad already. How I wish we could just stay home from work every day. Mind you, I worked pretty much all through the weekend, but, being able to sleep in was sure a treat. I wanted to get my front lawn raked and ready for flower planting, but that hasn't worked out. I had some puter work to do and then wanted to make potato salad and fried chicken for the kids to eat before they went to work. So, my afternoon was taken up with frying chicken. It's after 5 now, I could go out, but, I want to watch the Detroit hockey game so, no sense getting started with raking. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, I don't want all that stuff left on the lawn. So, I poked around here for a while.. that'll make Lynne happy!! and now I have to go tend to Joe. I had him read the book.."The 5 people you'll meet in Heaven". I finished reading it last week and it really made an impression on me. It has some really interesting life lessons, so I told him he had to read it. He's not big on reading but he sat down to read it today. And he's having a hard time dealing with some of those lessons. I knew he would. He has SO many issues from his childhood. If you ever come across the book.. take the time to read it!! I really like the life lessons it has and the way they are projected!! I think you'll like it too! Have a great day everyone!!

Icon_sun The sun still isn't shining in Oshawa. The fireworks went off last night and once again, Michael and I held Bear while the fireworks exploded outside.

I didn't sleep well last night and this morning I awoke with a fair amount of pain; so, I will definitely be taking things easy.

Baby has her nose out of joint because of the time that we have had to spend with Bear keeping him calmed down. Last night, she even slept in the livingroom on the sofa, which is not normal for her. Funny how four legged kids can act so much their two legged counterparts. rolmao Later on today, I will take a nap and have lots of snuggle time with my girl. That should make her feel better.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day today!

Here's an update from my earlier post.

The sun actually decided to come and say "hello" to us this afternoon. The Weatherman claims that by Thursday, we will have some warmer weather. If Mother Nature is going to be nice, the mercury will climb to 70 degrees.

I spoke to my surgeon's office today and they have me scheduled for the O.R. on Wednesday June 11 at 6:15 a.m. That really isn't too far away considering that regular colonsocopies are being booked for December. That just goes to prove how well our Health Care system is not working!

I have decided that I am going to instruct my surgeon that if he finds anything, he is to remove my colon completely and give me a colostomy. I have a higher survival rate doing it that way.

To be honest with everyone, I am not afraid of this. I have faced this since I was eleven years old when my Grampa had his colon removed. My Mum's twin brother had colon cancer also. So, it does run in the family. At least for me, I have been on top of this situation for years and have been vigilant about getting my colonoscopy done every year. So far, my Surgeon has removed seven polyps since I started getting them done five years ago.

So, I am asking everyone to please, get checked. It doesn't hurt and it could save your life. Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers.
