Unfortunately, due to the way Society has become so volatile, I believe that if a Student has a Cell Phone, they should be allowed to have it on their person wherever they go - including school; however, there should be stipulations to having the Cell Phone with them.
I do not believe that it should be turned on during classes or inside the school or used for text messaging back and forth. Outside of the school buildings at lunch and before and after school is fine.
In recent history it has been beneficial to the safety of the students to get help when there has been a crisis within the school.
So, let the the kids have the Cell Phones on them; but, keep them off unless it is a real emergency. |

I agree with R.I. 100 %
I think kids can use cell phones in school only when they really need
NOT FOR MESSAGING THERE FRIENDS IN CLASS. |

I thought there would be more "no" answers!! I'm surprised at the answers I read!! I voted yes.
My thoughts are.. just think of each and every mother across North America these past few years that received the phone call that
said.."Mom.. I'm fine".. and all the ones that heard the words.."Mom.. I love you".. for the final time.
Those thoughts alone speak volumes. I know many kids use and abuse the priviledge.. but.. in the blink of an eye, things change. |
