When Jessica started High school, she met up with so me other kids that had behavior problems also. This turned into drugs. She this one kid that was very bad news. By the age of 15 his police file was 5 inches thick. There were many days Jessica decided not to come home from school. We lived about 6 blocks from school. We gave her 15 minutes to get home. By this time, we were working with some in home therapy. They suggested that when Jessica did not come home, we were to all the police and file a run-away report to have a paper trail.
Also we sent more time in the office of school then we cared to. It was like she was in trouble all the time.. I can remember one time when we found a boy(the 15 year old) in her room at home. We don't know how he got there, because the doors and windows were locked. And we would have heard Jessica letting him in. We had asked Jessica not to bring this kid around the house. Well I made an appointment for her to get birth control. When I got to school to pick her up, the police met me at the car and asked me to come into school. Well, Jessica was high. I took her for a random drug test, which came back negative. She left, and did not come home that night. The next night, she came home, knocked on the door, which was locked, and asked my husband if she could come in. He said yes if she was alone. Well, she went out to talk to someone and said she would be right back in. Well she came in aright, with two others. They started to beat my husband with the intention of killing him. I was sleeping when this was happening. My son watched this whole thing. My husband was able to get away from them, grab my son and come upstairs. I called the police after I heard what had happened. The officer that also worked at the school was on duty, heard the call and came. The kids left. Somewhere along the way they stole a car, did a gas drive off and went to the next county, where one of the kids lived. They were in an accident. My daughter was complaining of chest pain, and taken to the hospital. While at work that night, I received a call from that hospital, asking for permission to treat since she was 14 y/o. I said, go ahead and treat, just don't call me when you're done. The nurse must have thought I was the worst parent alive. Well they were busy and so was I. Later on, I talked this this nurse again and had time to explain to her what was going on and who to call. That was the last time she was allowed in my house. This whole matter went to trial. It came out, their plan was to kill my husband and myself and take my son. Before the trial, the 2 others were released to parents, and was back in school the next day. The story going around was that they stoled my car. but they didn't. I guess I jumped ahead a bit about the trial. The police in the other county released them to their parents. When they returned to school, they were arrested. Jessica was already in juvi. After her trial, she was sentenced to the Iowa juvi Home until her 17th birthday.
The other two kids were sent to prison. It came out in the trial that they were going to kill us. Of course, the one kid from our area, he was "such a good kid" according to his mom. Now he was the one who had the big police file. He was sentenced to 25 years on three charges. He spent about 15 of those 25 years in prison. getting out on parole.
While Jessica was in juvi, she again learned their games. she did go to school.
I will have another chapter later. I know I am jumping around quite abit with this. I'm not thinking to straight today. Sorry about it.[color=indigo][/color]
