LOL Mary........I was raised on a wheat farm.......you could see for 20 miles in every direction........no trees in sight!!! and hot and windy....sand storms.......until they started strip farming......we used to have 100 acres in seed......the wind blew so hard all the time......it blew all the fields 20 miles away.........then they started just planting in strips which is planting a strip of grain in a long line........then the next section would be left in summerfallow........It helped big time.......but it is still a very windy place........and hot!!!!!  |
