Should the Summer Olympics Opening Ceremonies Be Boycotted?

Do you think that the Opening Ceremonies at the 2008 Summer Olympics should be boycotted due to the past and current situations in China regarding Human Rights atrocities?

I'm sorry, but I believe the whole entire event should be boycotted. I can't even begin to imagine what was in the Olympic Organizing committee's minds when they agreed to let China have this. If they so badly wanted to allow China, they should have imposed strict regulations, such as seriously improving their human relations before they are allowed. It boggles my mind that in this day and age such dictatorships and regimes are still tolerated and in some ways such as this, even encouraged. It never ceases to sadden me to be reminded of, no matter how ahead society forges, it still has such a long way to go to be palatable.
